About Sarah

Sarah is a native of Knoxville, Tennessee and has spent the last 12 years of her life in North Carolina. Sarah is an outdoor lover and fell in love with the High Country as a child. In 1997 she moved to Boone to attend Appalachian State University where she received her degree in Theatre Education and Communications. She met her husband, Matt Long, a Boone native and general contractor in a “communications class”. Sarah moved to Charlotte to teach soon after graduation. After 5 years of teaching they were finally given the opportunity to move back to the place they love. They feel very blessed to live and work in one of the most peaceful, beautiful places on earth. Sarah stays involved in the theatre by teaching theatre classes at the Blowing Rock Stage Company. Sarah also volunteers on the advisory council for The High Country Women’s Fund. The HCWF is an initiative of the United Way that serves to connect women in Watauga and Avery counties in a meaningful way- to educate, empower and inspire women to be the best that they can be. Sarah also enjoys snowboarding, hiking with her dogs, Charlie & Ruthie Mae, listening to music, traveling, and spending time with friends and family. Sarah looks forward to helping you find your dream home in the place she loves to be, the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains.
